Preparation is the work you do before anyone requests the car. The goal is a vehicle a guest can recognise from the listing and drive safely on the booked day.
- Service anything that affects safety: tyres, lights, brakes, and warning lights.
- Clean the interior and exterior so the listing photos still match the car.
- Note existing scratches, dents, and missing pieces. Disclose them. Do not wait for the guest to discover them.
- Keep registration and ownership copies available for Nova Rides. Keep the originals with you unless you are told otherwise.
- Decide the daily price, the included operating area, and whether interstate road trips are allowed. That choice changes the mileage rule on the booking.
- Plan where handover will happen in the listing city, and how the guest will recognise you and the car.
The in-app pickup checklist is a separate step. It happens after a booking is paid, when you record odometer, fuel or battery, and photographs before you mark the car ready.
