Age bands, inspection, and the condition a vehicle needs before it can go live.

The vehicle has to be the car in the photographs, legally usable, and safe to drive. Nova Rides groups vehicles by age. Age is counted from the model year.
- 0 to 10 years: standard digital onboarding. VIN, roadworthiness, condition photos, and host declarations are enough to submit for review.
- 11 to 15 years: an independent inspection of brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, battery, and engine is required before the listing can go live. You can still submit. Nova Rides holds approval until the inspection is cleared.
- Over 15 years: Classic standards. A comprehensive inspection and a professional condition assessment are required before the listing can go live.
Condition still matters at every age
A newer car is not exempt from being roadworthy. Disclose known mechanical issues, existing damage, and warning lights. Do not list a vehicle that is unsafe or not legally fit to use.
