Starting a Trip on Nova Rides
Why the guest cannot start until you have marked the vehicle ready.

The guest starts the trip in the app. The start control stays closed until your side is finished and theirs is finished.
- You have marked the vehicle ready, after odometer, fuel or battery, readiness items, and required photos.
- The guest has completed identity.
- The guest has accepted the walkthrough.
- The guest has captured the required photos.
If any of those are open, the app tells them to wait or to finish the missing step. Do not tell a guest to ignore the checklist and drive anyway. Once the trip is in progress, the booking moves out of pickup.
