Understanding Nova Rides Vehicle Protection

What Nova Rides arranges, and what it does not insure itself.

Car inside a shield

Nova Rides is not an insurer. Motor insurance for the vehicle and Personal Accident cover for a person are separate arrangements with Coronation Insurance. A booking is not itself a policy.

  • Motor insurance sits with the vehicle. Starting a booking does not create a motor policy in the guest's name.
  • Personal Accident is injury cover for the person who completes it. It does not pay for damage to the car, for someone else's property, or for liability to other people.
  • Not every vehicle, driver, passenger, or type of damage is covered.
  • Deductibles, exclusions, geographic limits, and the period of cover are in the issued policy. They are not listed here, because the full wording is not part of this guide.

The security deposit is also not insurance. It is a refundable hold used for the published post-trip charges when those charges apply. Damage beyond that hold is a claims question for the policy that was issued, not an automatic payment.
